Tony Swing (Merengue, Dominicaanse Republiek / Puerto Rico)
Juan Antonio Morales, otherwise known as "Tony Swing", was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, of Dominican parents. He arrived in New York at the age of 3 and was raised in Washington Heights. After being a part of several bands such as New York Band, Cocoband & Oro Solido, he went solo and debuted in 2000. His debut was a success on the stage of The Manhattan Center of New York, with invited guests like the late, Tito Puente, Milly Quezada, Sergio Vargas, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, and Tony Vega. With songs such as “Hit The Dance Floor” and “The Swing Is Back” Tony “El Matatan” as he is now called by his fans, shows us that it is all about dancing, all about feeling the beat, it is all about the energy. The Swing Is Back!!! It’s time for Holland to taste the vibrance of this Merengue Wonderkid at festival Afrique-Carib.
